This was really inspirational and just what I needed to get the creative juices flowing again. From here I purchased a few English paper piecing templates from lina patchwork and got excited that evening by the possibilities of the shapes I could create (you might remember a few years ago i created a grandmothers garden quilt)</div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-P7SvyFwnHl0/VKCYtB8LxeI/AAAAAAAAAyc/rp7k_iwPJc0/s640/blogger-image--750380936.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; I'm really pleased to announce I'm nearly at my destination on this crazy journey and I feel I can happily start making clothes again.</span><div><div><br></div><div>I know for certain this blog will be having a lot more posts about my sewing, so please bare with me while my blog attempts to find its perfect identity and works out what is going on, there will be a big variety of posts between now and who knows...</div><div><br></div><div>The first dress on my new wardrobe list was the cappuccino dress by Liesl Gibson for Oliver and S. </div><div><br></div><div>I'd been looking for along time for the portfolio dress created by sew lisette for Simplicity (2245) but being out of print couldn't find it anywhere within a normal budget. When I saw Liesl Gibson had released a really similar but much improved pattern I jumped straight on the band wagon. </div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5NBzQxEGRxY/U0hvAS-pPKI/AAAAAAAAAw8/G39jKdvlZ6k/s640/blogger-image--763515596.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5NBzQxEGRxY/U0hvAS-pPKI/AAAAAAAAAw8/G39jKdvlZ6k/s640/blogger-image--763515596.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div>It is the long anticipated pattern to replace the out of print portfolio dress (simplicity 2245) that I wish I had brought several years ago. I know so many people in the blogging world wanted to mark this portfolio and I'm sure as many will be making the new cappuccino. <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-N21SN_FJfxY/U0hu7kYfUwI/AAAAAAAAAwk/iv510azZZSw/s640/blogger-image-317024642.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-N21SN_FJfxY/U0hu7kYfUwI/AAAAAAAAAwk/iv510azZZSw/s640/blogger-image-317024642.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I used some basic cotton that I had in my stash to whip up this first number. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-kGBkr3ydgHA/U0hu_NgPnNI/AAAAAAAAAw0/mG3OoKO9gII/s640/blogger-image-967453947.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-kGBkr3ydgHA/U0hu_NgPnNI/AAAAAAAAAw0/mG3OoKO9gII/s640/blogger-image-967453947.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Although really basic in colour, the style made me more than happy! With in 12 hours I was already onto making my second. I found the first one had some real pattern issues for me, I needed to create a full bust adjustment on it to make it fit a little better.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I used the same fabric again for the second pattern but to make it easier to tell this apart I also used a fabric of the same construction but red in colour.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Seriously, I'm not sure the dress can get any cuter than this. <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-OTspcjbl5jU/U0hu9sAaaPI/AAAAAAAAAws/aoSjAqgWUF8/s640/blogger-image--394692069.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-OTspcjbl5jU/U0hu9sAaaPI/AAAAAAAAAws/aoSjAqgWUF8/s640/blogger-image--394692069.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">This time round I attempted to make the longer sleeves, I'm confident to say that this pattern will become a wardrobe staple for me and I'm already planning a few more versions of this to ensure I have enough wear out of the pattern. I love the tunic version that is also available and plan on making some changes of my own to play around with different constructions etc.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I love how easy it was to construct this dress and how it seems to be able to be dressed up and dressed down.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">The red version was a little tight on the red fabric, and I love the cuteness of lining the pockets in something different, however I've so far worn this dress twice and both times someone has asked me what's white inside my pocket...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Of course I gave them the standard answer of CHICKENS!!! I didn't want a plain card journaled on so I ended up die cutting this banner from amber project life cards and journaling onto that. </div><div><br></div><div>I'm so pleased how this weeks turned out. And I super proud that I'm keeping up to date because I know this week is going to be a really tough week and I won't have time to complete it. I fell behind last week and only completed that yesterday, I didn't enjoy that and don't want it to happen again. </div><div><br></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02430636367182992054noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10507414290599457.post-36443238494440473142014-02-22T00:28:00.001+00:002014-02-22T00:28:34.201+00:00Project life - Week 7Decided I must try harder at project life some weeks. Knowing I'd be putting this spread together during my holiday I decided I needed to embellish more. (It's also a little late because of the holiday) <div><br></div><div>I love how this spread has turned out (and I am happy it's a double page, think I'm going to run with that more often) </div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-RQBHG9Xklho/UwfvMJt2p5I/AAAAAAAAAuo/j4Lp1wqiEaw/s640/blogger-image-1858999045.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-RQBHG9Xklho/UwfvMJt2p5I/AAAAAAAAAuo/j4Lp1wqiEaw/s640/blogger-image-1858999045.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div>This week has used my new blush core kit (the title card was from the jade kit)</div><div><br></div><div>You can see my title card has my cricut cut week stamp. </div><div>Although this side is a little plain it highlights the week perfectly. </div><div>The weather card was from the seasons mini kit (Britian has had some dramatic winds in the week) </div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-0mMCUdu18gM/UwfvKsPq-9I/AAAAAAAAAug/8xZaJlPZ4ks/s640/blogger-image--1569517217.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-0mMCUdu18gM/UwfvKsPq-9I/AAAAAAAAAug/8xZaJlPZ4ks/s640/blogger-image--1569517217.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div>Using my phone and my canon selphy I made the photo collage bottom right. Perfectly portrays the organisation and movement from the evening (in the pub)</div><div>This week was valentines week so there's little hints of that around. </div><div>Really happy to use more of my embellishments. Think you'll see more decoration as the weeks go on. </div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02430636367182992054noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10507414290599457.post-15573305381700206732014-02-16T10:54:00.001+00:002014-02-17T20:19:04.483+00:00Titles for Project Life 2014Well I did it. I got my cricut out. Blew all the dust and cobwebs away and got playing.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'm not going to lie. It didn't take me long to decide on this.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-tlt4XHWO-RU/UwCY7QOoS5I/AAAAAAAAAuQ/XEGPkc2PlJw/s640/blogger-image-2001137027.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-tlt4XHWO-RU/UwCY7QOoS5I/AAAAAAAAAuQ/XEGPkc2PlJw/s640/blogger-image-2001137027.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I wanted something simple that I could cut every single week. To be identical and fit with all my colour options. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Naturally I went for black because at one point I was considering white. But worried about those pages that are already white. Maybe 2015 will be the year of the white title. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I feel this black works really well as the binder is the black American Crafts with cameras on that Amy Tangerine designs. </div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The weathers been a bit iffy recently so I decided to do a quick outfit of the day for the week. Really enjoyed doing this, I'm considering doing this 4 times throughout this year. It was interesting that I thought about what to put on because I knew it would be recorded. </div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Lab_xmp40es/Uv-3mnah-cI/AAAAAAAAAtw/zdFmAu0w7QY/s640/blogger-image--823776043.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Lab_xmp40es/Uv-3mnah-cI/AAAAAAAAAtw/zdFmAu0w7QY/s640/blogger-image--823776043.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I had a day out in London on Saturday which actually supported most of the photos from this entire week. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
M&M world </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-f79S5JM6uC8/Uv-3n0xIE5I/AAAAAAAAAt4/k6Fs4sZU3pQ/s640/blogger-image-614749616.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-f79S5JM6uC8/Uv-3n0xIE5I/AAAAAAAAAt4/k6Fs4sZU3pQ/s640/blogger-image-614749616.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I loved that the bag was 12 x 12 so slipped it straight in a page protector. Sad that it rained so much the bottom was soggy and fell off. 😞</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-w8gNnhi27Kc/Uv-3pCbZJiI/AAAAAAAAAuA/MyrSo9nYSgI/s640/blogger-image--898966277.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-w8gNnhi27Kc/Uv-3pCbZJiI/AAAAAAAAAuA/MyrSo9nYSgI/s640/blogger-image--898966277.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Thankfully the otherside is doubled sided scrapbook paper and I think the green works pretty well. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This next page is work in progress. I wanted to include a traditional scrapbook page and knew I want to include these photos. So for now I've just tucked them inside and will work on them later. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Below is my traditional project life lay out. </div>
<div>
I've pushed myself a little bit by working with lots of bold colours. </div>
<div>
Inspired by the Olympic Rings I chose the colours and the shapings. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-iXCpJ3V5evs/Uv-3lNjZjLI/AAAAAAAAAto/cOih0nm5Lc4/s640/blogger-image--1504562276.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-iXCpJ3V5evs/Uv-3lNjZjLI/AAAAAAAAAto/cOih0nm5Lc4/s640/blogger-image--1504562276.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I would normally put something like my tax disc in my project life except the UK have recently learnt that in September they will stop issuing these. </div>
<div>
I decided this was something I wanted to keep as part of the memories. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You'll possibly notice I haven't stamped the weeks or dates on yet. This is something I've still not decided on from previous weeks and am currently considering using my cricut to cut some pretty numbers. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As a fairly naive project lifer. I'd love to know what you guys think. </div>

I gave project life a miss in 2013, through out the year I kept looking at other peoples instagrams and blog posts showing their amazing love of their album. So d<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">ecided 2014 was the year for me to log my life again. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">I started recording my life on the 1st of January using a smashbook, Initially feeling this would allow me to keep hold of memorabilia as well as photographs. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-BgnPVbtnxnk/UvQETZBvWNI/AAAAAAAAAtI/bx4HUBrtTck/s640/blogger-image-1991580113.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-BgnPVbtnxnk/UvQETZBvWNI/AAAAAAAAAtI/bx4HUBrtTck/s640/blogger-image-1991580113.jpg" /></a></span></div>
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Five weeks in and I had a totally sleepless night thinking about my original project life. Grabbed my 2012 project life album and fell in love with it all over again reminding me of all the small things that I'd forgotten about. The little things that make me smile. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> I had the majority of things I needed to start 2014 so got straight on with transferring the first 5 weeks from my smashbook into a new project life album. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Here is my cover page. Kept simple. But I'm sure as the year goes on it will become developed and much more detailed. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Vn6La8ED--g/UvQEL7zUAEI/AAAAAAAAAsw/_DhxsmUyCRY/s640/blogger-image-1923747184.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Vn6La8ED--g/UvQEL7zUAEI/AAAAAAAAAsw/_DhxsmUyCRY/s640/blogger-image-1923747184.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I've been forcing myself to not follow any specific rules, after all rules have been made to be broken. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
My first week, very boring. The week after new year before returning to work. Small 3x4 card explaining all the photos. And a card I love - packaging, washi tape and a paper clip. Simple but ... Perfect. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I spent a few hours pondering this particular card. How to get the best from the light bulb paperclip. In the end I settled on sewing it on. I'm sooo pleased with it. Every time I see it I smile. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-v9GU0YTHj7w/UvQEIvtZO4I/AAAAAAAAAsg/GCr8RoUtuuQ/s640/blogger-image-798639343.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-v9GU0YTHj7w/UvQEIvtZO4I/AAAAAAAAAsg/GCr8RoUtuuQ/s640/blogger-image-798639343.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
My second week gave a large disaster; washing machine soaking my carpet. A final Christmas present (with an amazing gift tag that I just had to keep) and a new coffee product I've fallen in love with. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
An empty space and unsure what to do I resorted to some sparkles. Sequins in a pocket. I love the excitement of seeing the next week between the sequins. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-tlnlBS78Cs4/UvQEWbVnRRI/AAAAAAAAAtY/X1TvqunhVdc/s640/blogger-image--780719579.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-tlnlBS78Cs4/UvQEWbVnRRI/AAAAAAAAAtY/X1TvqunhVdc/s640/blogger-image--780719579.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Little stories this week including screen grabs from my phone. I felt its important to keep the little details that are important to me, they make me who I am but may be boring to other people. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-LDp-TmTzBEk/UvQEO_y2mSI/AAAAAAAAAtA/H5Qjm5y-B_Y/s640/blogger-image-1788564920.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-LDp-TmTzBEk/UvQEO_y2mSI/AAAAAAAAAtA/H5Qjm5y-B_Y/s640/blogger-image-1788564920.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
All my thoughts this week were based around one particular event. I was given some paperwork at this event that I needed to keep. Who knew normal page protectors would fit in my scrapbook album?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I made no alterations to this document I just tucked it in. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-nHy0mDyD7MI/UvQEKD0Y8bI/AAAAAAAAAso/qQFAgKnOGhA/s640/blogger-image--687757663.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-nHy0mDyD7MI/UvQEKD0Y8bI/AAAAAAAAAso/qQFAgKnOGhA/s640/blogger-image--687757663.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I loves my zentangle I'd created for my smashbook so much that I had to cut it out and keep it for my project life. I've seen several people on Pinterest cut photos and memorabilia between pockets, I LOVE how this turned out. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Long of stories this week and next resulted in bifolded cards for the bigger picture. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-IoBnSqJ59Y8/UvQEUvDaHgI/AAAAAAAAAtQ/Pc8XuB1vPCk/s640/blogger-image--1706911472.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-IoBnSqJ59Y8/UvQEUvDaHgI/AAAAAAAAAtQ/Pc8XuB1vPCk/s640/blogger-image--1706911472.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Mini stories in week 5 of 2014 and I discovered an app on my phone to print small Instagram photos to tell more of my stories. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<br />
I hope you enjoyed my small viewing. I'm in love and feel il keep this up for a long time. I've subscribed to freckled fawns embellishment kit and can't wait for it to arrive.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Massive thanks and love to Cat (decision inspired) who continues to inspire me every day. </div>

So in an order to get more organised in 2013. I decided to set myself back up with a new Filofax. I've had this one for ages. Brought on eBay for pennies. She arrived in a sorry state but after a very extensive Nivea facial or 2 she's gorgeous!! I love how loved she feels, I never thought I would but I like the fact that she is worn in already. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-5SyTmYigpW8/UPxgdSs-PbI/AAAAAAAAAn8/NxvPWvtkNkw/s640/blogger-image-636846308.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-5SyTmYigpW8/UPxgdSs-PbI/AAAAAAAAAn8/NxvPWvtkNkw/s640/blogger-image-636846308.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
In the front cover I have paper clips, pretty things to look at. The obligatory stickers, post it's etc. My cover page will be created as I go along with things I like, currently only has an envelop I cut up as my address was too gorgeous not to keep!! (sorry I've covered it with a project life card) <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-IqIw_SR1ea8/UPxgVCXfsFI/AAAAAAAAAns/Jq_rc_vqVZQ/s640/blogger-image-1356384713.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-IqIw_SR1ea8/UPxgVCXfsFI/AAAAAAAAAns/Jq_rc_vqVZQ/s640/blogger-image-1356384713.jpg" /></a></div>

<br />
After this you can see my week to view diary. This came from Philofaxy but I've personalised it slightly. Afraid lots of my documents in here originate from Philofaxy then I've made them much more personalised (if you see any you like for their colourfulness contact me, il ask the Philofax king if he's happy for me to share these with you) <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7gnaoO32FEU/UPxggDmisPI/AAAAAAAAAoE/F7mdjE5y41w/s640/blogger-image-1670959004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7gnaoO32FEU/UPxggDmisPI/AAAAAAAAAoE/F7mdjE5y41w/s640/blogger-image-1670959004.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
In between each of these months I've got my month to view. Think I'm going to get on better seeing these at the beginning of the month rather than in a separate section! <br />
<br />
Simplicity next is my notes section. A combination between these plain pages (as you can see I was planning how to set up my filo) and lined paper. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-icBTJ8rEh24/UPxgTEBgJnI/AAAAAAAAAnk/ix3_e7UU-ls/s640/blogger-image--1788962390.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-icBTJ8rEh24/UPxgTEBgJnI/AAAAAAAAAnk/ix3_e7UU-ls/s640/blogger-image--1788962390.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
My meal planner is really useful in allowing me to save some money! It's actually rare that I plan weekends but its there incase I want to use it. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-hL2QAVzhHgM/UPxgbYt5R5I/AAAAAAAAAn0/VP3xkNbtPq0/s640/blogger-image-30164657.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-hL2QAVzhHgM/UPxgbYt5R5I/AAAAAAAAAn0/VP3xkNbtPq0/s640/blogger-image-30164657.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I've recently become very addicted to the gym so this month to view has been adapted to keep track of my activity in the gym (including these stick figures of various gym poses) I've been using this set up for the gym for 3 weeks now, I'm finding its working really well so far! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-WSrrZAEkXco/UPxgD5m02uI/AAAAAAAAAm8/ZSC5iDI54Nk/s640/blogger-image-1284396836.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-WSrrZAEkXco/UPxgD5m02uI/AAAAAAAAAm8/ZSC5iDI54Nk/s640/blogger-image-1284396836.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Next up is to keep track of my slimming world journey. I've been following slimming world for 4 months now and am really enjoying it but I'm finding I have enter weight loss the weeks I track my syns and healthy extras so I've built a diary for this. Aiming to loose most of the weight before my next birthday (end of June) <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-9QmqNIamTvc/UPxhvj3fEGI/AAAAAAAAAoU/qAR2ygbYQGM/s640/blogger-image-1327193436.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-9QmqNIamTvc/UPxhvj3fEGI/AAAAAAAAAoU/qAR2ygbYQGM/s640/blogger-image-1327193436.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
As most of you I like to keep track of finances, to keep costs down I've created this myself purely because I only have a few original Filofax ones left. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-v9bBqNIbZAw/UPxgGYWF4wI/AAAAAAAAAnE/z6Tq4osb1E8/s640/blogger-image-1086402194.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-v9bBqNIbZAw/UPxgGYWF4wI/AAAAAAAAAnE/z6Tq4osb1E8/s640/blogger-image-1086402194.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Last but not least are my planning pages for project life. Carrying these around with me will allow me to keep up with them a little better. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-xGyFnpJQuFc/UPxgOgyqc8I/AAAAAAAAAnU/CCxdMWQm31I/s640/blogger-image-258160272.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-xGyFnpJQuFc/UPxgOgyqc8I/AAAAAAAAAnU/CCxdMWQm31I/s640/blogger-image-258160272.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I also keep this pen in my Filofax where I can highlight things once they are complete. I love that it also has post-it flags on the other end. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-fXCeT5cGlzU/UPxgQ4ST0sI/AAAAAAAAAnc/I39z7vYxnFQ/s640/blogger-image-1234840533.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-fXCeT5cGlzU/UPxgQ4ST0sI/AAAAAAAAAnc/I39z7vYxnFQ/s640/blogger-image-1234840533.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
As everyone with Filofaxes I'm sure this will be changed as my life style changes. 2013 is the year I'm getting organised and loosing weight so hopefully this Filofax ell stay with me for a long time (although I may update the binder itself) <br />

Something a little different from me this week. <br />
I've been looking for a while for a way to document my life. I think I've found it. <br />
<br />
Project life!!! Becky Higgins has come up with this awesome idea of scrap booking but using photo sized slots. <br />
I've done a few specific pages before week 1.<br />
<br />
Then week 1:<br />
<br />
<br />
Let me know what you think. Can't wait for my actual kit to arrive!!!! For now I'm making my own journaling cards. <br />
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZUwDN5ogKSQ/T_AXZbZt62I/AAAAAAAAAlU/RuphfE1kD_k/s640/blogger-image-1716176965.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZUwDN5ogKSQ/T_AXZbZt62I/AAAAAAAAAlU/RuphfE1kD_k/s640/blogger-image-1716176965.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Dcedw251rEs/T_AiNl-M1CI/AAAAAAAAAlo/QrGdTxrtu70/s640/blogger-image--631026414.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Dcedw251rEs/T_AiNl-M1CI/AAAAAAAAAlo/QrGdTxrtu70/s640/blogger-image--631026414.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-iHfUPx_f6Ns/T_AiOpPqwcI/AAAAAAAAAlw/NgYsz2AuDGs/s640/blogger-image--604513787.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-iHfUPx_f6Ns/T_AiOpPqwcI/AAAAAAAAAlw/NgYsz2AuDGs/s640/blogger-image--604513787.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-ZfpPCxHz_Hw/T_AiPuR54jI/AAAAAAAAAl4/gs7rN_Y5VUY/s640/blogger-image--338348957.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-ZfpPCxHz_Hw/T_AiPuR54jI/AAAAAAAAAl4/gs7rN_Y5VUY/s640/blogger-image--338348957.jpg" /></a></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02430636367182992054noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10507414290599457.post-18287066502104764762012-06-08T20:26:00.001+01:002012-06-08T20:26:53.680+01:00Wish me luckOk here's a new project for me. This could be a cure...<br /><br />A few weeks ago I feel in love with this American idea of a smash book. A scrapbook idea with inspiration in. I've been mulling this idea over for a few weeks but with money really tight this wasn't an option for me.<br /><br />I have a love of scrapbooking but don't always have the time/resources to do it often. So....<br /><br />Out comes this Filofax that I brought off eBay as a storage Filofax but have never filled. <br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/05/15/2514.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/05/15/s_2514.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br />A collection of random scrapbook papers and my hole punch and I created my own version that I have no rules and boundaries of.<br /><br />Here is how it's looking so far after a weeks worth of setting up. Some pages are private but I would like to share with out what I've done so far...<br /><br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/05/15/2515.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/05/15/s_2515.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/05/15/2516.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/05/15/s_2516.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/05/15/2518.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/05/15/s_2518.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/05/15/2519.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/05/15/s_2519.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/05/15/2520.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/05/15/s_2520.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/05/15/2521.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/05/15/s_2521.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br />This is my absolute favourite double page spread at the minute. My visit to the Olympic Park with my school on Wednesday.<br /><br />I wanted to do a combination thing between both of these and had a little look on the Internet for the diaries, they were in sale in Staples.<br /><br />They arrived today: Pink personal and a black pocket<br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/05/11/1545.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/05/11/s_1545.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br />I love them from the minute I found them. I think I have a problem!!! I blame all the amazing enablers on twitter and <a target="_blank" href="www.philofaxy.blogspot.com">philofaxy</a>. <br /><br />These are the filofaxes that I currently use:<br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/04/18/1814.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/04/18/s_1814.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br />Starting at the top, I am playing with a mini Filofax (not sure the feeling is mutual though I'm falling out of love already) then we have my much seen and much loved personal butterfly Filofax (which I am hoping to replace at the philofaxy meet up in 38 days)<br />Then my aqua chameleon a5 Filofax that I use for union work, this was the easiest and simplest Filofax to set up as this only has lined paper for my notes from conferences and meetings.<br /><br />The bottom is my graphic a5 zipped Filofax, I love this one sooo much, it's my teacher planner and I wouldn't change a single thing about it. Sometime soon I promise I will blog about my set up to this, especially as I have made a personal diary with help from Ray. <br /><br />I hope your Filofax family is as well developed as mine, oh and I'm waiting for a new delivery any day now, sooo excited. About a new pocket adelphi coming to me and some special snoopy inserts coming all the way from Japan - I aim to have this set up as my personal and <b>VERY</b> fun filofax. <br />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02430636367182992054noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10507414290599457.post-77773422693368954752012-02-17T20:14:00.005+00:002012-02-17T20:43:02.795+00:00Packages in the POST!!!!!!!!<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 100%; text-align: left; ">I'm in love and I don't mean with a man.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 100%; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; "><span style="font-size: 100%; ">It all started off when I was getting a little bored with my filofax. This was to set up my home binder and my filofax for 2012.<br />You saw my filofax set up in my last post. Today you will see my set up for my home management binder. I have really enjoyed setting this up, and I can already see it has helped me with a few new years resolutions, I certainly feel more organised with this, and I am doing much better with my budgetting as you will see with the next few photographs.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pWXeNml6AsI/TwmK9ow16hI/AAAAAAAAAdA/YNtda31tUzo/s1600/Home%2Bmanagement%2B002.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695235995305634322" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pWXeNml6AsI/TwmK9ow16hI/AAAAAAAAAdA/YNtda31tUzo/s400/Home%2Bmanagement%2B002.JPG" /></a> I was quite excited about setting this up, I had these 3 folders in my flat, never been used before, from ASDA. They are soo cute and were begging to be used.<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MDO1xlSW0JM/TwmK9eZAFyI/AAAAAAAAAcw/dWKgTV3vEwc/s1600/Home%2Bmanagement%2B006.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695235992521283362" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MDO1xlSW0JM/TwmK9eZAFyI/AAAAAAAAAcw/dWKgTV3vEwc/s400/Home%2Bmanagement%2B006.JPG" /></a> Every project needs a title page, and I spent two nights this week setting up my sections so I could create my own dividers. These were dead easy. Wanting to spend no money setting these up, I had paper in (blue - the theme for this week) and these tabs, not the colour of choice but I quite like it in the end. Using my label maker and clear tape I set up these right at the end of setting up everywhere.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695235543516619650" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6Hr2lNLeUqE/TwmKjVt8o4I/AAAAAAAAAbw/jJKMMtd7kyI/s400/Home%2Bmanagement%2B012.JPG" />Most of my pages have come from a small collection of sources, first of all I treated myself (I know I said no spend but this was the most motivating way for me as I know I would have put it all off if I had to set every page up myself! As a time saver this was perfect) The basis for my folder came from <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/CleanMamaPrintables">CleanMama Printables.</a></div><br /><br /><div>This woman is very inspirational not only are the bits to purchase absolutely perfect (I brought the entire starter set) but she has a really good blog <a href="http://cleanmama.blogspot.com/">(here)</a> that has the occasionally free printable that can build up the binder to make it work for you.<br /><br /><div><br /><div><br /><br /><div>CleanMama printerables are perfect for everyone for all walks of life. Some of the pages might not come in useful now, but they will be in the future I'm sure. </div><br /><br /><div>Using this as a basis I have gone on to produce some similar looking pages that fit in my folder that are more suitable for me. This page below has been taking from one of CleanMama's pages but being in the UK the American Medical system didnt work, so I created this to make up for me. <a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ksElRZ_9psQ/TwmK8TIVabI/AAAAAAAAAcQ/MPRNhsQtaCE/s1600/Home%2Bmanagement%2B009.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695235972318718386" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ksElRZ_9psQ/TwmK8TIVabI/AAAAAAAAAcQ/MPRNhsQtaCE/s400/Home%2Bmanagement%2B009.JPG" /></a>The cleaning suggestions made my CleanMama and a few other websites I have been trundling around have been really helpful. I have made a few tweaks again. But it has already made a difference, instead of thinking I have an entire day I must clean, these systems take a little bite at a time.<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iPIJJbYMTzM/TwmKkUZ4w3I/AAAAAAAAAcE/A_mLkFI2HIY/s1600/Home%2Bmanagement%2B010.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695235560343913330" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iPIJJbYMTzM/TwmKkUZ4w3I/AAAAAAAAAcE/A_mLkFI2HIY/s400/Home%2Bmanagement%2B010.JPG" /></a>I am also trying to declutter some of my life this week, and am following a daily decluttering schedule, however I haven't actually stuck to this very much.<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-51g4496wy7s/TwmKkN4hSkI/AAAAAAAAAb4/PXfilb4bIWw/s1600/Home%2Bmanagement%2B011.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695235558593350210" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-51g4496wy7s/TwmKkN4hSkI/AAAAAAAAAb4/PXfilb4bIWw/s400/Home%2Bmanagement%2B011.JPG" /></a> <br /><div>Budgetting, being one of my areas of improvement this year, has been pages that I have been desperate to set up. I have printed enough of this page to last me the year, and I've noticed that I am able to keep up with what bills need paying, how much they are, when they need paying etc. So far this and a few other things has helped me save almost £300 this month! Hopefully this will also mean no more late fees.<br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Bt4tISIgDhA/TwmKi4di9tI/AAAAAAAAAbg/s8WUxtyL4yI/s1600/Home%2Bmanagement%2B013.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695235535663199954" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Bt4tISIgDhA/TwmKi4di9tI/AAAAAAAAAbg/s8WUxtyL4yI/s400/Home%2Bmanagement%2B013.JPG" /></a> <br /><div><br /><div>Meal planning hasn't been something I have ever been interested in, but I realised that looking at what food I have in the house and working out what night's I have prior arrangements etc. I can eat what I have in, healthier and save money by not continually buying new items (After going through the kitchen I have 5 jars of Mayonaise in and 6 jars of Bicarbonate of Soda!) </div><br /><div><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e0urSAyc5ms/TwmKKmA_naI/AAAAAAAAAa8/A-7ebjAk_QI/s1600/Home%2Bmanagement%2B016.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695235118394744226" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e0urSAyc5ms/TwmKKmA_naI/AAAAAAAAAa8/A-7ebjAk_QI/s400/Home%2Bmanagement%2B016.JPG" /></a> There is a section that I have set up to record all the food I have in the house, including the quantity - some of the pages from the CleanMama purchase. These have made a massive improvement on my meal planning, especially as I don't need to rumage through the cupboards etc to work out what I have in.<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WnNqbSqru7E/TwmKLPLqtWI/AAAAAAAAAbM/xQC1AVlIWdw/s1600/Home%2Bmanagement%2B015.JPG"></a><br /><br /><div><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NvZbhoo0vQY/TwmKJwMGAkI/AAAAAAAAAag/Z-FOHss16yg/s1600/Home%2Bmanagement%2B018.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695235103945785922" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NvZbhoo0vQY/TwmKJwMGAkI/AAAAAAAAAag/Z-FOHss16yg/s400/Home%2Bmanagement%2B018.JPG" /></a> To do - I'm known for starting something new before I have finished the first task. Because of this the two pages above have come in very useful. The first - Labels to make, came from <a href="http://www.thenesteffect.com/">the Nest effect</a>. And the second from CleanMama I intend to use for several different purposes including craft items, decluttering, work related tasks etc.</div><br /><br /><div>And last but not least I had some of these wallets in my office that are sealed but have the holes down the side to add to a ring binder. Hopefully this will help me keep the clutter out of the house by allowing me to stick everything in this pocket and file it into the folder (or throw it away) later on.<br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TecckX5OxuY/TwmKJnmyZHI/AAAAAAAAAaY/y_0_N1Eaj5Q/s1600/Home%2Bmanagement%2B019.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5695235101641827442" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TecckX5OxuY/TwmKJnmyZHI/AAAAAAAAAaY/y_0_N1Eaj5Q/s400/Home%2Bmanagement%2B019.JPG" /></a></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><br />All in all I have already seen a difference to my lifestyle etc. I'm much happier and think its partially down to this folder and having everything in one place. I can seriously recommend the CleanMama Printables. Please go and purchase yourself some of the sections and get yourself set up with a home management binder, Having everything in one place.<br /><br /><br /><br /><p>CleanMama is the most user friendly Etsy site I have been on for printables, she does small collections of similar pages, she allows you to purchase just one page from a collection, a couple of collections. Basically she is out there to help all of us set up for our perfect Home Management Binder.</p>I've come to realise that everyone's binder will be totally different. I would love to know if you have a binder, and if you are setting one up. I'm willing to offer help. Also check out CleanMama's blog and the Nest effect as these have really supported me and got me geared up for getting my life back in order!<br /><br />I'm now well on my way to being Debt free before 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02430636367182992054noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10507414290599457.post-74116687578352800362012-01-01T16:10:00.005+00:002012-01-01T17:01:09.079+00:00My Filofax keeping me organisedOk this is my first filofax post. Hopefully there will be many more to follow. I first had a filofax about 8 years ago when I used to work in a stationery department of a big department store. I fell in love with Filofaxes and I think I brought about 5 while I worked there.<br />I had forgotten about these until about a year ago when I was trying to decide how to become better organised, the Dominoe attracted my attention in Tesco's on offer which I purchased and attempted. This wasn't much of a sucess to me until I found my love of <a href="http://philofaxy.blogspot.com/">Philofaxy</a> and <a href="http://imysworld.blogspot.com/">Imysworld </a>both of which have given me lots of inspiration and made me realise the importance of being able to customise this over some of the other organisational diaries out there.<br /><br />I really wanted a much more grown up filofax and found this dusty one in my local WHSmith, I've never seen it advertised anywhere else or heard many people mention it, I had a money off voucher and ended up buying it for a crazy amount (about £35 when it should have been £90).<br /><br />This filofax comes everywhere with me, it even has a space under my duvet at bedtime. (Heaven's knows what I will do when I find myself a man)<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692701042679579474" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H_F4XTOinPU/TwCJb-Vpg1I/AAAAAAAAAaQ/F1h8P5LrBmQ/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B001.JPG" /><br /><br /><br /><div>The filofax dividers themselves were pretty uninteresting so after rummaging around in my scrapbook papers I found some of this nice thick study ones and made my own, all of the dividers you will see are ones I have made myself, some with tabs and some with pockets on the back (not that I have actually used any of them) they all either have shiny gold on them or glitter! I love them all<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1VmRka5j58M/TwCJbnrtaQI/AAAAAAAAAaA/ibD23vXuLrM/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B002.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692701036598094082" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1VmRka5j58M/TwCJbnrtaQI/AAAAAAAAAaA/ibD23vXuLrM/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B002.JPG" /></a> Inside the front of my filofax I have all of my store cards and my driving license (I'm currently living card free and only spend cash so this saves me carrying around an extra purse full of cards)<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bpg05T2KSjI/TwCJH9n8IzI/AAAAAAAAAZw/z4zGGCbDTnw/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B003.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692700698890478386" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bpg05T2KSjI/TwCJH9n8IzI/AAAAAAAAAZw/z4zGGCbDTnw/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B003.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L85rKKURF8w/TwCJHgRdT8I/AAAAAAAAAZo/Zd7_Vx9Emx8/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B006.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692700691011555266" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L85rKKURF8w/TwCJHgRdT8I/AAAAAAAAAZo/Zd7_Vx9Emx8/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B006.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Jh-gsCFzC_c/TwCJG5R45_I/AAAAAAAAAZc/ItdPgwsJ5_4/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B011.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692700680544380914" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Jh-gsCFzC_c/TwCJG5R45_I/AAAAAAAAAZc/ItdPgwsJ5_4/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B011.JPG" /></a> You can see I have typed up my new years resolutions, I Also have a table (on the left above) that is for all my sewing ideas, It allows me to write the dates, the idea and if completed. This stops me running away and making the newest idea in my head, and allows me to remember them for when I'm ready.<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ecSE0ghk1E4/TwCJGp2uM7I/AAAAAAAAAZM/xpoxb7FuVD8/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B012.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692700676403901362" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ecSE0ghk1E4/TwCJGp2uM7I/AAAAAAAAAZM/xpoxb7FuVD8/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B012.JPG" /></a> 52 things in 52 weeks is also typed up. So I am always able to remind myself what the next weeks task is going to be to be able to purchase anything needed.<br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U0ffI9xZJGc/TwCJGdW_YrI/AAAAAAAAAZE/K_qS3vtJhF4/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B013.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692700673049584306" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U0ffI9xZJGc/TwCJGdW_YrI/AAAAAAAAAZE/K_qS3vtJhF4/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B013.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div>My next section starts off with my work timetable, being a teacher this is important to me, and allows me to work out when I have free periods during the week to do some office based work or when I can do my lesson planning during work time.</div><br /><br /><div>This timetable actually changes every term so theres no need to have this laminated although I did consider it.<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-diValaiyb6Q/TwCIQXiuJfI/AAAAAAAAAY8/j2zS2QH9604/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B014.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692699743775237618" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-diValaiyb6Q/TwCIQXiuJfI/AAAAAAAAAY8/j2zS2QH9604/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B014.JPG" /></a> This is one of my favourite sections next, these are my to-do lists. I do have the filofax ones that come with all the filo's but I am not a fan of them at all, I always end up leaving the most important jobs to the end and get worried and stressed about not getting them done.</div><br /><br /><div>Therefore I have set up this table (that I have seen several other people using) that allows me to divide my jobs up into 4 different categories and helps me work my way through this.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692699737821824658" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9hkd2VxTzBU/TwCIQBXURpI/AAAAAAAAAYs/9gQtO7Vo0cw/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B015.JPG" /><br /><br /><br /><div>Weekly food rota is a new section to me this year that my colleague at work (who is very new to filofaxes) designed and offered me a copy. Notice I have printed these upside down on the back. This has actually been done on purpose as I decided I would like to have the current week at the begining of this section. This means at the start of the week I can flip the paper over and have the current one looking up at me.<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JZa1YeNATlo/TwCIO6D9ntI/AAAAAAAAAYU/9UDXkzhIy20/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B016.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692699718681730770" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JZa1YeNATlo/TwCIO6D9ntI/AAAAAAAAAYU/9UDXkzhIy20/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B016.JPG" /></a> Brainstorms are an important part of my planning, for this I wanted something a little bit more exciting than plain pages. So I found clip art of a "brainstorm" (I know this term is politically incorrect but as its normally only me that sees them) I also have a list of 101 things in 1001 days, I've been considering doing this for a very long time, I'm not sure if its going to work for me though, I cant even fill 40 things I want to do in that time, so for now I think I will stick to the 52 things in 52 weeks<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-v050BhGcTIA/TwCIOrAvnLI/AAAAAAAAAYI/RY9yBDEoB_g/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B017.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692699714641697970" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-v050BhGcTIA/TwCIOrAvnLI/AAAAAAAAAYI/RY9yBDEoB_g/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B017.JPG" /></a> Finance section is helping me become incharge of my own money, hopefully aiming to become out of debt by the end of 2012.<br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yb1XGprQU50/TwCHdqoq2FI/AAAAAAAAAX8/dwAlpM6AI7M/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B018.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692698872727132242" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yb1XGprQU50/TwCHdqoq2FI/AAAAAAAAAX8/dwAlpM6AI7M/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B018.JPG" /></a> Right at the back I have my loyalty cards that are infrequently used, and the zip wallet that contains spare post-its (very cute speech bubbles from Wilco's) stamps and index tabs.<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QC_EpgNHJFw/TwCHcuf_clI/AAAAAAAAAX0/fUARL7HO3po/s1600/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B020.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692698856584606290" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QC_EpgNHJFw/TwCHcuf_clI/AAAAAAAAAX0/fUARL7HO3po/s400/filofax%2B1.1.12%2B020.JPG" /></a> For those of you wondering at the start of this blog - my supermarket trolley tag, a free one I picked up on a conference once, its a Womble. <br />
<br />
I have just spotted this great idea on Cherise's blog Sewing Along for a surprise pay it forward. This is how it works.<br />
<br />
I will send a surprise gift to the first three people to comment on this post. This gift will be made by me and I will send it sometime within the next year. Exactly when you will receive it will be a surprise (it will probably be a surprise to me too :-D).<br />
Of course there are some rules in this game. Here it goes:<br />
<br />
Rules:1. I will make a little something for the first 3 people that comment on this post. It will be a surprise and may arrive at any time in the next 365 days (yes, a year).<br />
<br />
2. To sign up to receive a gift from me you must play along too. Share the giving love on your blog by promising to send a handmade goodie to the first three people that comment on your blog post.<br />
<br />
3. You must have a blog.<br />
<br />
4. After commenting on my post, you have to post this (or similar) on your blog to spread the love. If you haven't posted in 48 hours then the next commentor will be chosen.<br />
<br />
I don't know if three people will even get around to commenting on this, but I will say that if you find this post 6 months from now and only 2 people have left a comment, you can still be commenter #3 and get a random goodie from me! When you comment, I'll email you and get your address and then you will get something from me sometime before next December 2012.<br />
<br />
Lots of love. I personally know I need to be quilting this in the summer holidays to get it finished in time for Christmas 2012. </div><div><br /></div><div>Any questions feel free to ask. </div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02430636367182992054noreply@blogger.com0
