I've done a few specific pages before week 1.

Then week 1:

My SmashFax

I'm pretty sure that most of you feel really guilty when you have a Filofax sitting at home doing nothing. This could be a cure...

A few weeks ago I feel in love with this American idea of a smash book. A scrapbook idea with inspiration in. I've been mulling this idea over for a few weeks but with money really tight this wasn't an option for me.

I have a love of scrapbooking but don't always have the time/resources to do it often. So....

Out comes this Filofax that I brought off eBay as a storage Filofax but have never filled.

A collection of random scrapbook papers and my hole punch and I created my own version that I have no rules and boundaries of.

Here is how it's looking so far after a weeks worth of setting up. Some pages are private but I would like to share with out what I've done so far...

This is my absolute favourite double page spread at the minute. I didn't purchase a single thing here. Just things I picked up at the Birmingham clothes show last year, all cut up and put in a pleasing way.
The ministry of craft on the left is actually a pocket with a collection of business cards in (yes there are 3 ray stitch cards there. I'm contemplating working on some with stitching and sketching)

A real use for washi tape other than looking pretty on a page! Actually stick things down!! YAY!!

Right at the back I have some spare pages ready to go if the need calls me.

I hope I have inspired you to think about developing an unused filofax for another purpose (and if you do a similar sort of thing I'd love to see it)

What do you do with your Filofax other than the standard things? I'd love to hear what uses you have.

My new Filofaxes

OK a combination of two things this week lead me to find two new babies.

Number 1. Steves review of the Olympic Filofaxes on Philofaxy

Number 2. My visit to the Olympic Park with my school on Wednesday.

I wanted to do a combination thing between both of these and had a little look on the Internet for the diaries, they were in sale in Staples.

They arrived today: Pink personal and a black pocket

I love them from the minute I found them. I especially loved comparing the inserts against each other.

Lots of photos to come:

(excuse my feet, couldn't keep this one open on its own and take photos)
I love the two pockets at the front -credit card slot and a full length pocket

Week to view page spread across two pages. This lay out is awesome, I Really like this lay out

Steve mentioned that this day to page was for the Olympics, but looking this is the entire summer holidays!!! I'm thinking of using this as a journal for the holiday and using the 8 boxes at the bottom as my water intake. I aim to loose weight during the summer so might use the coloured boxes for recording activities done during the day.

Event stickers and stickers of some London land marks.

Pocket in back (the pink section - is open top and bottom) I rally was drawn to this filo for the rulers, they are really cute, and I see most of these buildings from my flat.

The pocket is very similar as seen below.

This Filofax appears to be for the paralympic games as seen inside the back (why was this not at the front?)

The fastener on the black one is fully rotational and I quite like you can hide the "London 2012" label on it by sliding it around to the back!

I hope you liked my new filofax's. Coming up next my new pocket Filofax and it's set up (which I'm torn about now as I want to use the olympic inserts in it!)
Help will be needed!!!!!

Stationery Goodies

Well it's been an exciting week with lots of stationery enabling in my close group of friends.

Yesterday saw me with a free afternoon so i decided to meet up with Cat to go to Tottenham court road Paperchase and MUJI.
I don't have photographs of everything but here's a quick view of a lot of the stuff I brought

I saw this card and fell in love, it's the perfect size (minus 2mm down one edge) for my pocket Filofax so it's become my front cover!

I've added to my washi tape collection finally decided I had a need for a dedicated tin for them (hate the decoration on the tin but that can be solved with a bit of tape ;)

A art box divider folder that I brought to hack up to put in my a5 Filofax but it's just too pretty to hack! Plus each sheet (divider) is a separate decoration (one is clouds one is stars and so on)

Art box note book, perfect size to keep scribble in the back of my Filofax

Another one, this one already has been put to use

Some Japanese note pads also from art box, the perfect size for adding little notes, the next two photos are also views of the paper inside. Soooo damn cute!!!!

My little family

Over the weekend Filofax tweeted to see the family of Filofaxes that we have, this was the first time I have ever thought of my Filofaxes as a collection.

This is the first time I have ever seen all my Filofaxes together. I think I have a problem!!! I blame all the amazing enablers on twitter and philofaxy.

These are the filofaxes that I currently use:

Starting at the top, I am playing with a mini Filofax (not sure the feeling is mutual though I'm falling out of love already) then we have my much seen and much loved personal butterfly Filofax (which I am hoping to replace at the philofaxy meet up in 38 days)
Then my aqua chameleon a5 Filofax that I use for union work, this was the easiest and simplest Filofax to set up as this only has lined paper for my notes from conferences and meetings.

The bottom is my graphic a5 zipped Filofax, I love this one sooo much, it's my teacher planner and I wouldn't change a single thing about it. Sometime soon I promise I will blog about my set up to this, especially as I have made a personal diary with help from Ray.

I hope your Filofax family is as well developed as mine, oh and I'm waiting for a new delivery any day now, sooo excited. About a new pocket adelphi coming to me and some special snoopy inserts coming all the way from Japan - I aim to have this set up as my personal and VERY fun filofax.

Packages in the POST!!!!!!!!

I'm in love and I don't mean with a man.

It all started off when I was getting a little bored with my filofax. Decided I needed something to liven up the diary pages so went in search of "Diary stickers" these were very few and far between in the UK but I had seen several in America and other parts of the world.

Here is a quick run down of ones I chose. The first 3 were Paperchase and the others were from Korea (although ironically the Korean ones arrived before the Paperchase ones)

These ones are specially made to fit in a filofax and say things such as "Birthday" "to do" "appointment" and matching smaller spots with nothing written on. These were £2.25 for 2 sheets which I think is pretty reasonable but they will come in useful for my Organised side.

These two were £1 a packet and each packet came with 2 sheets (80 stickers in total) I'm a real sucker for things with faces on so the first ones called out to me, and the second has useful stickers for things like Mothers day and really cute girls and trees etc.

The next packs have come from Korea in particular this website There was absolutely loads on there that I had to start taking things back out of the basket. P+P was a little bit high but for the amount I got was totally worth it!

These girls are the cutest ever! 5 sheets with images like this...
My second packet of stickers, again a pack of 5. Are brilliant for those little mistakes. I've seen someone else blog about these before and I'm so Glad I found them.
The bottom ones act like highlights, and have gorgeous little message next to them like "Do not forget" and "Don't be late"

This bottom packet are my most favouritist in the entire world!!!
Called the Diary deco pack, it was exactly what I was looking for.
The stickers came in two variety's paper to write on - like these cute labels (although fairly small)And clear like these - to add things over the top of ideas.

I feel in love with these paper-clips and pens/Pencils. Will be really good to be able to attach something to a page and make it look like I've paper cliped it.

If you're after inspiration for what to do with these pictures the YesStyle website gives loads of ideas for uses. They also sell adorable diaries including finance diaries etc - If I didn't own a filofax I would have spent quite a bit more!!!!

All the best until next time. xx
